A New NFT Collection for LGBTQ Charity

By amberbyers | Crypto Byers | 2 Feb 2022

Do you like NFTs?

Do you like donating to charity?

If you answered yes to both of those questions, you may be interested in an NFT collection that is donating 30% of all profits to The Trevor Project.

What is The Trevor Project?

Well, according to their website they are:

"The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people."

The LGBTQ community faces a lot of discrimination around the world, and it can be incredibly difficult to deal with as a young LGBTQ person, even in more progressive countries. That is where The Trevor Project comes in. They have several programs to help young LGBTQ people navigate living with and dealing with discrimination and hardship, and ways to find happiness in who they are.

How Can NFTs Help?

There have been many NFT charity projects, but very few of them have gone to support LGBTQ youth. The profits from every NFT sold in this collection will go to LGBTQ people, including 30% being donated directly to The Trevor Project.

As NFTs continue to gain popularity and have gone mainstream, the opportunity to use them for positive change is there, and some have chosen to pursue this goal, rather than to profit solely for themselves.

You can check out more about this particular project on OpenSea. I encourage you to donate to charities whether it is through NFT charity or through traditional donation-based charity.
