Hello Splinterlands Summoners! Splinterlands is a fun and engaging game. This is because aside from the challenging battles, we can also earn tokens to grow our collection. Right now, we are in the middle of the season and I'll be sharing my favorite battle this season and my buying from the Glint Shop.

Favorite Battle

Battles in Splinterlands is fun and challenging. There is no guarantee that you will win even if you have the stronger units. You still need to find the optimal team that will synergize with each other. You also have to anticipate what the opponent's cards will be in the battle so that you can counter them.

In this battle, I faced a stronger opponent and he has a level Iziar that envy. My level 1 Iziar is already a game changer and a key card in my deck but a level 3 gains another powerful ability -- Martyr. Imagine a unit that has Taunt then also has the Martyr ability. This card is unfairly OP in my opinion 😅.

In the battle, the ruleset was Armored Up so I took advantage of this by choosing a magic team since magic damage ignores armor. I chose a healer tank and put all magic units. Also, I have Mycelic Slipspawn which has Taunt and Queen Mycelia for her Triage and another shield buff. This combo is great if you want to divide the enemy attacks.

The Battle

Although his Iziar has Void, my magic units are strong enough to whittle it's 14 health. Also he didn't have a unit with Triage to support his Iziar. I would normally have Djinn Renova or Spirit Hoarder whenever I use Iziar. Another mistake by my opponent is placing a Gargoya Scrapper beside Iziar which didn't get much benefit from Iziar's Martyr ability. My opponent's Drybone Barbarian is super though since it's level 9. Thankfully the shields provided by the ruleset and Queen Mycelia helped my tank last longer in battle and allowed my damage dealers to do their job. My opponent's damage dealers were strong as well and quickly eliminated my units but since his units are range, they become ineffective once they took the first position and cost him the battle.

One on one and my opponent's unit is just sitting there. The War Pegasus could have won if it can deal damage but it was at a disadvantage being a ranged unit.

Buying from the Glint Shop

I have some Glints to spend and I won't wait until end of season to buy some cards. This time I will be buying epic reward cards to add to my deck.

I got four different cards. So far, my favorite is Olivia the Brook and I'm hoping to level her up. Next is the Halfling Refugee which only cost one mana but has 6 health. I'm not too keen on the Khazi Conjurer and Shock Trooper which hurts their own team. They will probably have some use partnered with units with Martyr ability.
