Hello Everyone! Arcade Colony will be releasing a new game called Hyper Rail Blaster. Arcade Colony is a platform developed by Invennium, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Splinterlands which also operates Genesis League Sports soccer game. Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy web3 features.
Hyper Rail Blaster
If you like Arcade games when you were a kid then Hyper Rail Blaster will bring some nostalgia to you. You control a shooter that you can move sideways to shoot at bouncing balls that replicate when you hit it. The balls drop some power ups and extra lives when hit. Your shooter gets destroyed when you run out of hearts. Sounds like video games in the 80s right?
The gameplay is similar to Space Invaders that was played in arcades before. You have to keep your shooter alive while enemies keep multiplying. The game can be fun and addicting. Oh, the balls also drop in-game tokens called Quarks. Quarks will be needed as currency to play the game. You can buy Quarks from Arcade Colony shop for CREDITS or SCRIPT at price of 1000 Quarks per 1 SCRIPT (or 1000 Credits). Or, you can find it randomly in-game once an enemy is killed.
Play to Earn
Game Rewards
Players can earn Colony, the Arcade Colony eco-system token. Earning will be based on how many waves the player has defeated and his score in the game.
Leaderboard Rewards
Leaderboards will be based on highest score and games played. It will reset every 5 days and top players (TBD) on the leaderboard with get rewards at the end of reset. The higher position the bigger rewards. Further details will be revealed when this is launched.
Jackpot
For the first 30 days, the highest score in the game will be recorded as all time high. Every 30 days, players who beat the all time high score and stay there until end of period will get 50% of the jackpot reward pool. If no one is able to beat the high score, jackpot rewards will keep accumulating until the score is beaten. Further details will be revealed when this is launched.
