Bitcoin bifurcation projects, such as BCH, BSV, BTG and BCD, have gone up double digits in the past few days, but the cryptocurrency king still dominates general market procedures.
The 4.5% gain raised BTC prices to their highest levels for more than two months, as the candle turns green again.
Traders and analysts are confident that further increases will be achieved in the coming months and this has been seen with open interest.
Open interest, or OI, refers to the total number of outstanding derivative contracts, such as options or futures that have not been settled. The value of US $ 3 billion is extremely optimistic, as it represents the total value of open Bitcoin futures and options contracts traded on the main stock exchanges.
Traders are already looking for higher levels of resistance and ‘Satoshi Flipper’ is eyeing the $ 9,000 level.
As with any major market movement, there is always a correction. Since that moment began, after the U.S. air strike on Iran's military leader, Bitcoin has won almost $ 2,000. This is equivalent to almost 30% in just twelve days.
Analysts are now eyeing a retraction before a higher sustained move.
