I've been playing the game Rollercoin as part of my low cost crypto accumulation strategy.  Rollercoin is a crypto mining simulator.  It rewards in various crypto (BTC, BNB, ETH, BUSD, MATIC, TETHER and DOGE) and also has its own in-game token called Rollertoken (RLT).  You can play this game without investment, and still earn crypto.

Similar to mining in the real world, the aim in Rollercoin is to build up your mining power, so that you earn higher rewards on each block that is mined. 

You can build up power via three main routes: 

1- By buying mining equipment, which then gets installed into your mining room (pic above) - I have only managed to build a rack to install miners on so far, but am over half way to buying my first miner.  I also expect to get a few in the current season for free, via other tasks (see below).  If you play the game without investing real money, you can set your mining output to mine the in-game token RLT - and once you have enough you can go to the shop and buy mining equipment.  However, even when you start you do have some mining power, even without buying anything. 

2 - The second main method is to play mini-games.  Each Rollercoin mini-game provides you with a temporary power boost - which can last between 24 hours and 7 days depending on how many games you play and how often.  I find the mini games fun but repetitive - although they are quick.  The mini-games can also drop additional power bonuses and special parts that can be used to upgrade your miners.

  3 - The third route is to complete tasks from the offerwall (surveys, etc).  I'm not a fan of offerwalls so dont use it - but the Rollercoin RLT rewards seem pretty good if you do like taking that route.  

So I guess the main question is - how much can you earn playing Rollercoin ?

Well over the month of Dec (the last 27 days), I've earned 1.2 RLT, with 1 RLT = $1.  So thats not much - $0.044 per day.  However, I've been giving it a try with the aim of saving up to buy some miners, to then see how much of a difference it will make.  Depending on how many games you play, it can take from a few mins to about an hour a day to play.  I'll keep trialing it to around the end of Jan and if income has not lifted by then I'll probably stop using the game, or just cut down to bare minimum time each day and let it continue to accumulate in small amounts.

The final thing that is worth mentioning is the seasons.  Seasons are in-game promotional phases where you can earn extra rewards. 

Season 3 in Rollercoin is themed on Christmas and runs for 60 days (as of the 27th of Dec - there is another 54 days to go).  Each day you can complete certain tasks (login, play a specific number of games, check out their twitter page, etc) to earn some XP.  Every 100XP gained, gets you to another reward level.  And there are different rewards each level.  To access all rewards you have to buy an event pass, which are pretty steep at $100 for the basic pass, or $390 which gives you all rewards straight away.  I dont plan to spend on the game so wont go for either, but I understand that they are the most economical way to invest in the game if you do plan to invest.

If you dont by the event passes in Rollercoin, you can still get rewards.  As per the above, the level 3 reward is free and it gives a free miner.  This is then the same for every 5th level, so thats 3, 8, 13, etc.  Based on my current progress of earning XP, with some daily game playing, I'll very likely get to level 8 for the second free miner and also have a decent chance of getting to level 13 for the third free miner.   So I aim to do that and see what impact it has to my income (and I'll report back on how it goes in a month or so).

So in summary:

 - Rollercoin is free-to-earn, although it can take a while to build things up to the point where it can become worthwhile (which is understandable - they cant just give away free money in large lumps)

 - I do find it fun and engaging to play, although it can feel like a bit of a grind sometimes if you need to play the games to hit certain rewards, etc.
