One of the legs of my low cost crypto accumulation strategy is to earn fiat for free that I can then use to invest in crypto currency.  One of the methods I use is an android app called mistplay.  Mistplay is available for android phones in google play.  Mistplay state that their app is 'the #1 loyalty program for mobile gamers'.  In summary you can earn money from the app by playing games.  

First and foremost - this app works.  I've used it for a number of months and getting the rewards out of it is fairly easy - although it comes out in the form of reward cards, and the tricky part is being able to use that reward card to invest in crypto - but I've managed it.  This article explains how I use  mistplay and the process of using it to invest in crypto.

If you like playing games on your phone, then this will be easy for you.  I'm a gamer and so I would play games on my phone anyway.  I decided to give mistplay a try and found that it worked for me.  Firstly download the app and register - it was a while back but I seem to remember that registration was very straight forward and did not need proof of ID or anything like that.  Once registered, you are presented with a selection of games from within the app.  Select a game you want to play, and download it from within the app (again, thats easy).   Then start playing the game - the mistplay app must be running in the background to log the time and hence the reward points - and it logs it all automatically.  

Once you have saved up enough points, you then go to the rewards section in the app and pick which reward you want - I've extracted both Amazon vouchers and pre-paid mastercards from it successfully.   Once a reward is picked it sends you the details on email of how to claim that reward.  When I've selected amazon vouchers it takes about a day from making the request to getting the details, and it takes about 3 days when I selected a prepaid mastercard. 

If you want to get more regular rewards from Mistplay, then do the following:

• Each game presented has a reward speed rating - pick games with the highest rating,
• You gain levels within mistplay for that game as you play it (largely based on game time).  The first so many levels are easy to gain, but the higher the level, the longer it takes.  If you are just wanting to grind through games to earn more money, then I find that sticking to gaining level 6 or 7 is about optimum, after that it starts to take too long to progress between levels, 
• Just stick to the games mistplay suggest (they present enough that I can usually find something I like)
• I tend to use about 4 at a time, cycling between them to level up to level 6 or 7, once I've done that - I then switch to a new set of 4 games.  I dont spend all of my time doing it, just spare/odd time (eg, morning commute to work, etc).
• You also get points for logging in each day - which is worth doing - all you have to do is to open one of the games that has been served from mistplay and thats it
• The higher the reward pay-out you go for, then the less number of points per pay-out you have to pay for it - its not much difference, but it all counts.  For example, I need to collect 2,100 reward points for a £5 prepaid mastercard, but I can get a £10 prepaid mastercard for 4,100 points 
• I find that I can easily get £10/month doing this, for not a lot of time, noting that as a gamer - I would be playing games anyway, and previously was not not getting rewarded for doing it at all

As stated above, the tricky part was figuring out how to use the rewards from misplay to invest in crypto:

• I select the prepaid mastercard option - taking the highest value one I can get (for me that is £15 which requires 6,100 points)
• As above, the details for that will come through on email a few days later with instructions on how to access the mastercard (it takes about 3 days for the details to come through to me)
• If you can find a crypto currency exchange that lets you deposit funds with a prepaid mastercard, then just go ahead and do that.  I couldnt find one (that I trusted) so use an alternative method (as continued below) - but if you find one - please let me know via the comments section
• Once you have the details of the prepaid mastercard, you can then add that mastercard as a means of payment to your paypal account
• You then need to find a cryptocurrency exchange that will accept paypal payment to deposit funds.  I have found that you can use paypal to deposit funds into etoro - however, there is a number of drawbacks of using etoro:
  • 1 - I dont think that it is the best crypto currency exchange (I dont really like it at all, and its not really a crypto currency exchange - and I'm not recommending it !),
  • 2 - When using paypal to deposit funds (in the UK using GBP) you need to do a minimum of around £38, which is equivalent to £50USD (and remember to pick the -prepaid master card as a payment method from within paypal) - so you would nede to have earned enough points for 3 £15 reward cards from mistplay, and have loaded them all up to your paypal account
  • 3 - Once those funds have been deposited into etoro using paypal, they cant be withdraw to another crypto currency exchange for 60 days

So it has its draw backs, but I have successfully used this method to buy crypto currency in etoro.  For info, I will withdraw the funds I have in etoro to another exchange as soon as I can.  In the meantime, if anyone else finds another trustworthy exchange that accepts paypal for deposits, then please let me know via a comment.

In summary:

 - This method works, but its not a massive money spinner,
 - If you are going to play games on your phone anyway, then maybe it is a method to use,
 - Finding a better way of using one of the payment options from mistplay to buy crypto direct in a proper crypto exchange would be better than doing it through etoro (in my opinion).
