Price explosion before Halving at BCH and BSV! Does Bitcoin (BTC) expect the same?

By EinfachWir | Crypot | 8 Apr 2020

While the halvings of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin SV (BSV) are imminent, both Coins are recording considerable price increases. Will Bitcoin experience the same in a month's time?

This week the Halvings of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin SV (BSV) will finally take place. Both Altcoins, who each claim to be the only true Bitcoin, will see their block rewards halved to 6.25 BCH/BSV each.

Both coins are now in the fast lane in terms of price, while the rest of the market is weakening. Bitcoin Cash is currently up six percent, Bitcoin SV even over 13 percent.

Final countdown for Bitcoin cash (BCH)

Bitcoin Cash is first in line: the BCH Halving will already take place this afternoon. Prior to the event, the job site Candor.co had indicated that Bitcoin.com - mining pool, news site and perhaps the most important supporter of BCH - had laid off 50 percent of its workforce.

Roger Ver, Executive Chairman of Bitcoin.com, dismissed this claim simply as "more Bcash FUD". Bcash is a term for Bitcoin Cash, which is used by opponents of the coin in an aversive manner and FUD stands for "Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt". The acronym expresses that someone is spreading bad mood without any real arguments. However, at least one important person has recently left Bitcoin.com: CEO Stefan Rust.

Great expectations for Bitcoin (BTC) Halving

The Halvings of BCH and BSV are also particularly interesting because both Altcoins have never experienced anything like this before. Bitcoin (BTC), on the other hand, has already undergone two halving of the block reward, namely in 2012 and 2016.

Accordingly, a pattern can already be seen at BTC, and it looks very encouraging: For the well-known trader and analyst PlanB, it is clear that the price increases by an order of magnitude after each halving.

While after the first halving it was mostly between USD 100 and USD 1,000 for most of the time, after the second it fluctuated mainly between USD 1,000 and USD 10,000. So even though it is not possible to predict an exact amount, the Bitcoin price should come close to $100,000 after the third halving.
