In a bizarre case, US cops thanked a bank robber for keeping the money safe, patted him on the back and returned the stolen cash to its rightful place in a secure vault.

No. That's didn't really happen. That would be absurd, wouldn't it?

But that's how the former President of the US is expected to be treated after lifting documents of a sensitive nature from its safe storage place and kept it in his basement.

There can be no excuse, POTUS or not. Theft is theft. A criminal charge is the only solution.

Lock him up.
