Splinterlands | Up Close and Personal Challenge

This week another fun game rule in the Share Your Battle Challenge which now also is called 'Battle Mage Secrets" in Splinterlands. This is the Up Close and Personal Game Rule where only Melee can be used.

Usually, when this rule pops up, it's an easy choice for Possibilis the Wise which gives all monsters the Reach ability + Trample while the Water Summoner has some awesome Melee Monsters. The combination with other game rules can make this one more interesting and I did get one where only melee was allowed, with no abilities and earthquake. I tried to go for monsyers with a lot of health but I neglected armor which turned the match into a loss.

I played the Beta Death Summoner who gives -1 Melee attack combined with 2 somewhat higher health monsters with the Haunted Spirit & the Silent Sha-Vi with the 2 0-cost monsters as additions in my Forius Chicken and the Fiend in the first and last place.

Looking at my line-up I totally rushed it and did not have the needed focus as I was doing multiple things at once. The 2 Minutes time to submint a line-up expecially in Wild league is really getting on the short side as there are so many cards and options possible nowadays. Something that I did learn from this battle is that the Ever Hungry Skull is one of the cards to play in this very specific game rule.
