Splinterlands | Odd Ones Out Battle Challenge

Another game rule this week for the Share Your Battle Challenge which now also is called 'Battle Mage Secrets" in Splinterlands. This time, it's the Odd Ones Out Rule.

There are 2 opposite rules one where only odd mana cost monsters can be used and the other where only even mana cost monsters can be used. By far I prefer the even monsters where there are plenty of choices while I tend to always struggle. Most of the time I choose for the Life Splinter which has some good useful odd mana cost cards.

The Earth splinter also has some good Odd mana cost cards which tends to be my 2nd choice if Life is not available and this is what I used in this battle also.

Only Melee Monsters were allowed so I opted for the Daria Dragonscale summoner mostly with an eye to have some Self-Heal with the Pelacor Mercenary along with some big damage output and Shield Protection from the Carnage Titan. These 2 cards I supplemented with the Mycelic Morphoid to take some initial damage while giving thorns damage. I put the Screeching Vulture in 2nd last place with the hope for it to pick up some extra Health and the Brownie to give extra speed and even more damage output.

Despite Splinterstats showing only 25%, I did manage to win the match mostly thanks to my Speed + Fly combination which resulted in multiple key misses on my Screeching Vulture. for a good win.
