Another game rule in the Share Your Battle Challenge which is also called the Battle Mage Secrets for Splinterlands. This is the Keep Your Distance Rule Set!

What I would add is that the new Weapons training ability which is overpowered is a key aspect these days as it allows to make 0 attack monsters really powerful.
I did play in the Rise of The Champion Tournament for the 6 year anniversary where I went 16W-12L finishing 159th just outside the prizes. For many of the cards it was the first time I used that which really gave an experience disadvantage. Nevertheless, this concept of having everyone playing at a level playing field. There simply wasn't enough time for me also to properly come up with the best possible deck so I did the best that I could. It was a really fun experience and I'm looking forward to more of it.
The 2 other rules were that Summoners got no Abilities while speed was reversed.
The optimal choice for summoner was the 2 Mana Dragon Prince Julian which only has a total of 83 copies. The Grimbardum Smith (400$) is one of the overpowered new cards and I followed it up by another powercreeped card with the Rage (168$) which costs 16 Mana and has the Weapons training ability. Since the opponent was sure the play Magic, I opted for the Goblin Psychic in 3red place and the Queen Mycelia after that. Just to balance it out with some Ranged attacks, I ended the lineup with Runemaster Florre & the Ancient Redwood. This made it 4 Monsters with the minimum speed playing into the game rule.
This one turned out in one of the wins that I managed to get in the tournament and all battles there were fun since there was no real pay2win aspect. At the same time, I'm quite sure that some were using battle helper bots to get to the best possible lineups in time.
