Running on the back of a think-tank that is fueled by the intelligence of the masterminds behind KuChain and IRISnet, Ti-Labs will shoulder the responsibility of enlightening the whole Cosmos ecosystem.
On October 16, 2020, with the participation of KuChain and IRISnet, the Ti-Labs had its first meeting. The both teams as well as Cosmos developers discussed the development progress and related technical issues.

1. Cosmos WASM virtual machine
- Technically already available, ready for launchpad (SDK 0.39) release.
- Production available by the time of Stargate (SDK 0.40) release, still a month and a half to go.
- “Availability” on a hub depends on the ATOM holders’ votes.
2. IBC
- Target date: governance proposal on October/November 2020. With 2–3 weeks of process, the IBC integration will optimistically be initiated by November/December 2020 .
- Then still testing, simulation and coordination to go.
- SDK comes with two quality assurances:
• Sanity checks, code;
• Simulation: number of random transactions to see the state. - Full usability expected by the end of December 2020.
- Can already try out Cosmos SDK 0.40.
- Governance update to activate IBC on the Cosmos Hub is expected shortly after the release of Stargate.
3. Peggy (Peggy solution Cosmos-Ethereum)
- Can refer to Althea’s Peggy repo, though GitHub readme indicates the bridge is still under development and chains should use at their own risk. Production release will be pushed to Cosmos Peggy repo.
- If needing Peggy just to begin development — then the function from forks of Althea’s Peggy is usable, especially to start use the software and get familiar with the code.
- If needing Peggy as bridge with Ethereum — then better wait until the readme warning has been removed.
- Also aiming for the end of the year.
4. Transaction order determination in Mempool
- Redesign of the Mempool expected to be in the release following the Stargate release Tendermint 0.35 / Cosmos SDK 0.41
5. Light nodes scheme: does Tendermint support schemes allowing block head syncing only?
