What is Kujira

Kujira is a Layer 1 built on Cosmos SDK with IBC enabled and supports CosmWasm for smart contracts. Kujira began with a very interesting liquidation mechanism on Luna through Anchor Protocol and moved to their own app chain in Cosmos. 

Blue, Fin, Orca

There are three elements of Kujira Right now: 

Blue is Kujira's dashboard for staking $KUJI and managing staked assets, voting on governance, and swapping. The interesting thing about staking Kuji is, that you are receiving a payout from transfer fees happening on Fin. kujira.app order book. Since the gas fee can be paid with any asset that is available on the DEX, you'll receive not only KUJI but other assets as well (like ATOM, USDC, and JUNO to name a few).

Fin

Cosmos' first decentralized, permissionless, 100% on-chain order book style token exchange.

This is a truly exciting feature that was missing in the Cosmos ecosystem; finally you can put limit or market orders. Deploying new trading pairs is done through governance proposals. Currently, there is an important proposal about $USK which will be the native stablecoin of the Kujira. Which will be a DAI-like stablecoin, and will be backed by $ATOM, and then different assets like $KUJI.  

Orca, which is a cross-market public marketplace for liquidated collateral, is soon to be live.

Staking KUJI

Staking APR of KUJI is about %2 right now, and you might say "hey that's too low", well, $KUJI creates its value through

• Network Fees

• FIN trading fees (maker: 0.075%, taker: 0.15%)

• ORCA withdrawal fees (0.5%) - not yet

• USK minting fees (0.5%) -  well

• USK interest fees (5%) - very soon

• USK liquidation fees (1%) - really soon

Kujira Ecosystem

Kujira developers seem to be on coffee and energy drinks since they are delivering nonstop. Lastly, they have shared their staking distribution app pod.kujira.app;  which is a fantastic piece of app that distributes the stakings through the validator set to create a more balanced and decentralized ecosystem. This feature is now available for all Cosmos-based chains. IMHO, this function should be available in all PoS chains.
