Digital Art Pieces

So I started this blog just for random thoughts, opinions and things I want to write about.

Today I just wanted to share some of my old digital art. I never reallly do this, because most of them have a dark backstory. I usually make these in stressful moments when I just need to numb my brain for a second. I made one today because I have exam tomorrow (college student) and my head hurts. Meanwhile I want to really continue working on my other blog: K-pop Bloggin', but I have to study for the exam. The topic of the next few posts is taking some time researching and writing about, so that's gonna take a few more days.
So in my short break... a quick and easy post on my Paint art.

All my art pieces are signed and please don't use them without an okay from me.

So here they are:

1. '#Flower'
flower

I had a brief obsession in 2017/2018 with drawing flowers made out of distorted chunks of paint. At the time I was also interested in the influence of social media affecting people's confidence and self worth. Which is what the digitally crumbling down flower represents.

2. 'The Beach'

the beach

I grew up in the Caribbean. I am living in Europe now however. When I think of my home, I think of the typical 'white' sandy beaches with icy blue waters and the mostly positive memories of the beach. Sadly, I also have a huge phobia of deep waters and the open sea, so my memories and thoughts of the beach are always haunted by 'the dark shadows' in the water and the feeling of anxiety I would get being near it. A beautiful but distorted memory of the beach.

3. 'Stress'

stress

This is the one I made today. Stress and procrastination made this one. Messy border, messy center, messy focus. I guess this is what my brain looks like on paper.

Enough procrastination. Back to work.
