SpaceX’s $70 Billion AI Shift Before Going Public

By CineLonga | Digital Whispers | 3 hours ago

SpaceX is preparing to go public but the most interesting part of the company right now is not its space business.

A recent regulatory filing points to something that sits outside the usual SpaceX narrative.
The company reportedly has long term AI computing agreements worth more than 70 billion dollars.

That number immediately shifts the focus.

SpaceX has always been understood as a space company.
Rockets, satellite networks, Mars ambitions, long development cycles.

But the details in these agreements suggest that another layer is forming underneath that identity.

Google is said to be paying around 920 million dollars per month for access to large scale computing capacity, including GPU infrastructure. Anthropic is also involved through separate arrangements tied to SpaceX’s compute operations.

Taken together, this starts to look less like isolated deals and more like a second business line emerging.

Not space launch revenue.

But infrastructure.

More specifically, AI infrastructure.

And that changes how the IPO story will likely be read.

Until now, SpaceX has been valued mainly through its aerospace operations and future space related potential.
High risk, high reward, long timelines.

Now there is a different kind of exposure appearing alongside it.
Long term contracts that look more predictable and closer to infrastructure economics than aerospace volatility.

If these agreements persist, SpaceX is no longer just a company building toward Mars.

It is also becoming part of the infrastructure layer that powers modern AI systems on Earth.

That’s a pretty big plot twist!
