Pi Network: Nearing the 10 Million Engaged Pioneer Mark

Pi Network: Nearing the 10 Million Engaged Pioneer Mark

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about Pi Network (link here) and how it was an easy to use possible moonshot coin. Personally the unique ability to mine Pi on your phone was a huge plus. When you add in how it utilizes Stellar’s protocol to allow phone mining then honestly why not?

With the approach of 10 million pioneers though a message popped up from the team about future mining. With the 10 million mark approaching the initial plan might change. Instead of mining halving like initially laid out they might instead cut down to 0.

While this would be a super disappointing development the team behind Pi is not doing this alone. Instead they are going through the responses of pioneers that had joined before the convention. I joined after it had occurred so I am not 110% in the know. The app though has undergone quite a few upgrades recently with much more features (multiple languages, chat function, team functions) so the project is still being built up.

While they have not announced or hinted at if they will follow the halving plan or stop the mining all together this next step is key. If they do not continue mining what are they going to do to keep people engaged? As it is you only have to get on once a day and click a button saying you are still here and human what’s easier than that?

We shall see though and see what further developments are announced in the near future! Hope everyone is staying safe out there! If you would like to join the Pi Network you have to do so via referrals and here is mine!
