Probably close to a year ago, times a little hard to tell due to COVID, my brother told me about a new crypto project that had its mining done on cell phones. Since I was in college still and working on research projects I just really brushed off the idea because it was a low level priority thing.

Once I graduated in May well it was the middle of the initial COVID outbreak. The outbreak has allowed me to well have more time to explore blockchain and crypto. My brother again mentioned it and sent me a link to sign up and download the app so I did.

Pi wishes to wind back the clock to the beginning of Bitcoin so to speak when mining was easy and available to any and everyone. Their algorithm is built upon one that most of us would be very familiar with here and it’s Stellar Consensus Protocol or Stellar Network which uses Stellar Lumens as its token! As of now all that you have to do is one a day open the app and tap of the lightening bolt to earn Pi by proving you are not a robot. 

The will eventually build up from phones to laptops and tablets however phone mining will not be left behind! The group that has developed this is a group from Stanford much like the creator of Stellar Consensus Protocol. It is also structured to reward early adaptors with the ability to mine more Pi. You also do not have to keep the app open nor does it pull battery power from your cell phone.
