I have been extremely busy the last few days however last night I came across a new Coinbase Earn/Expansion of Coinbase Earn. They have added an additional "quiz" to earn $10 in Compound. This quiz though was not a video like they normally are and instead was a series of actions they wanted you to do.
Coinbase has a separate Wallet app that I have used for a few months now and much like the Coinbase app is really simple and easy to use. Since this was my first wallet I would highly recommend using Coinbase's wallet if you have never used one before! Through the wallet, you can easily access both Compound and dXdY to lend out your crypto.
This quiz is almost entirely done on the separate wallet app. You begin it on the website and then move to your app to complete it. Coinbase actually sends you $3 USDC and the amount of Ether it will take to pay the gas fee for you to lend it to Compound! While it isn't a lot or anything but it is a nice easy thing to do and to get more people to engage in DeFi! $3 isn't going to make you a millionaire and the yield isn't anything crazy. When I did it it was 1.1% (which is a ton higher than my high yield savings which pays 0.75% monthly). One thing I wish I could go back and try is to send more USDC to my wallet and then use the Ether that Coinbase sends me to send all my USDC in one lump sum. I do not see why this would not work as it is a single transaction etc. so if you are interested in lending USDC on Compound I would go ahead and give this a shot to lower your gas fees!
Its really nice to see Coinbase finally push their app as Coinbase is really becoming the beginner place for Crypto. Even better is that they are giving you money and enough to cover starting but also you get the $10 in Compound after they are able to verify the transactions! Hopefully they continue to update and integrate more and more DeFi's and you have the easy of Compound and dXdY with things like Uniswap and Maker. They have also added invites to the COMP rewards so you can further acquire more COMP!
