In the current market condition, you can see a lot of volatility and turbulence that make things scary or fun. I know it is not always easy to find reliable programs.

While searching the internet, I found the website Shrimpy that offers an automatic portfolio rebalancing. Unfortunately, you cannot do anything with the free version. So, how do you know it's a reliable service? If you invest in the membership, at least it's good if you can recover what you have invested in the platform.

The free version

To be honest and transparent, you cannot do anything with the free version of Shrimpy. As soon as you try to add an asset, an index, or a portfolio, you get an aggressive popup to buy the premium version. This irritates me a little.

On the website, I asked if it is possible to at least have the guarantee that we will recover the fee for the premium membership. The only answer I got was ignorance and radio silence, this behavior is common in the crypto space.

The Shrimpy white paper

I read the white paper and it is cool to discover the strategy to rebalance your crypto portfolio. The only thing you need to be advised of does not take the number of returns for granted.

Another thing that is not great about the paper, it does not tell us which assets they chose to make the backtest. Gullible people who will read the white paper might believe that it is easy to make a lot of money with the rebalancing strategy.

A monthly membership

As I mentioned, you cannot do anything with the free version and I can not test the full potential of this strategy. I checked two videos on YouTube to learn more about the project.

This is the price to pay when you want to upgrade from the free version.

I want to test and study this strategy with the backstep feature and I will pay for one month. I am in a mode where you do not need to seize every opportunity but to learn and master a few very well.

My aim is to recover at least the membership fee and see after.

Crypto rebalance strategy

In simple terms, the rebalance strategy is to always have the same percentage of each asset on your portfolio or index.

An example of a crypto portfolio:

• 25% in Bitcoin
• 25% in Litecoin
• 25% in Ripple
• 25% in EOS

With the rebalance strategy, you will always keep the same weight. You rebalance base on your own criteria like 1 hour, 1 week or 1 month, etc.

What I am going to do
