Vitalik Buterin Praises Fileverse

     On 10 December 2025, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin expressed praise for a project called Fileverse in a post on X. His endorsement has since sparked considerable interest in the platform across the cryptoverse.

About Fileverse

     While I am not a user of Fileverse myself, Vitalik’s post encouraged me to look into it further. Fileverse is a blockchain-based private collaboration tool, developed with a strong focus on privacy, security, and political autonomy. As the project is still in its early stages, some technical hiccups are to be expected. Vitalik himself noted that “every month more bugs get fixed,” which suggests it may not have been particularly stable in its earlier versions.

My Point     

     In today’s digital environment, almost everything we do is monitored on centralised platforms. Fileverse provides a solution glimpse for those seeking genuine privacy. Of course, I do not support privacy when it comes to activities such as drug trafficking or terrorism. However, it is often under these pretences that governments justify surveillance of political dissent. That’s precisely why decentralised technologies are becoming popular.
