The following is my response to the video shared above.
I appreciate this look at what is left of a coal town in Appalachia and its fine people.
Its a practice of looking at what we don't want to because its depressing.
My analysis of this is as an example of what is threatening all of us worldwide.
Civilization based on progress is the problem because its not progress to run away from our misbehavior.
All of us are guilty because we accepted the idea that we are little people - we feel ashamed when times are rough and proud when material resources are in abundance.
We accept being human resources subject to being usee as a masterclass of intergenerational wealth sees fit.
We should be able to look back at capitalism and communism as the cause of this problem because it disguises our subjugation to this masterclass.
We've immersed ourselves in such an artificial environment of media and tech that our animal sense of self care has vanished.
Just like coal, we too are thrown into the furnace of progress - how is that sustainable?
Tech makes the desires of mad masters possible such as eliminating a future for humanity itself in exchange for being able to modify humanity based on the computation of A.I.
We need to draw a line in the sand both as pagans, Christians and humans to conserve our natural integrity as an expression of nature's will to live beyond subjugation to another's will.
If we focused on survival like our pioneer ancestors, it wouldn't cost so much to survive and thrive.
We can go back toward the garden of Eden and bring God's kingdom down to replace man's empire.
We don't have to be hateful or argue but we do have to disobey because there no longer is a human right to anything.
We have to learn how to directly care for ourselves and each other as a cooperative of individuals.
I see this as similar to how the Amish made their stand against progress long ago.
