I had a wonderful weekend in Salzburg, and today I am sharing some pictures of the old town.
Salzburg is a wonderful medieval town.
Wherever you look, you see craftsmanship on every detail.
From the statues in the city gardens.
To the facades and shop signs.
And the cemetery.
And of course, I visited Mozart’s birth house and had the traditional Mozart balls.
In case you don’t know them, the Mozart balls, known as Mozartkugeln in German, are a famous confection from Austria, particularly from the city of Salzburg. They are small, round sugar confections made of pistachio, marzipan, and nougat, all covered with dark chocolate.
