I'm trying out a newer system that will (hopefully) allow for Shorter, nicer, and more interesting articles of these Monthly Updates.
Every month, on the 1st, I will post a grouping of earnings articles based on my previous month's experiences with certain Crypto earning opportunities. I will be dividing these into a few sections, for relevancy to different users, the first one is Wallets & Exchanges:
Please keep in mind I am working on all of these experiences as a micro-investor or a free investor. You're not going to see huge gains because I am avoiding throwing money into any of these as I want to keep the experiences authentic to each user.
Wallets:
Wax Wallet: (Personal Favorite of this group!)
I have really started to get the ball rolling with my Wax Wallet. I am constantly increasing my yield and making it easier and easier to perform actions, get new freebies, and find new free opportunities via discord, neftydrops, and Atomichub. In total, I have made about 1-5 Wax per Day on freebies, staking earnings, etc. This means, at the current market rate of .09 per WAX, I am making anywhere from .10-.50 a day from WaxWallet.
Earnings: $8 from June to July (About 3-15 Monthly)
In that experience I have learned one key factor for Wax Wallet: Your genesis WAX earnings have a yield of about 20-30% APY, as opposed to the 1-3% APY that normal Wax has.
Do I recommend this? Yes, absolutely. There are just way too many NFT and Crypto Gaming related opportunities that you NEED this for. If you're planning on getting into NFTs, WaxWallet is a given! Staking is most important for people looking to play games and make transactions, it's less important otherwise. You can earn via Liquidity Pools, you can earn by selling free NFTs, you can earn by buying Packs and reselling them, there are so many opportunities here right now. Upgrading this now, and being ready for NFTs as they mature will put you leagues ahead of others.
Valora Wallet:
I've earned another $1 off of this this month, from having 10 or more CELO in the wallet. Unfortunately, it looks like these rewards are no longer being continued passed June, so this will be the last month of earnings for Valora. I ended up making about $5 over 3 months, with my initial investment being $10, or a 50% return over 1/4 of a year. Not bad.
Earnings: $5 over 3 Months (This opportunity is no longer active)
Do I recommend this? Unfortunately, now that Valora is no longer doing earned rewards, I do not recommend this unless it comes back! I will be looking into CELO staking in the future, and see how that might pan out during the current market stagnancy. You can sign up here if you still want to try it as a convenient CELO wallet
Exchanges:
Coinbase: On Coinbase Earn, this month I have earned: $3 in $BOND and AMP totaling $6 over the course of this month. Investment required: 0. In other news, I finally got on the ETH2 staking list after almost 5 months! Yay...
Earnings: $6 for Free! (If you want to try out Coinbase Earn, you can join via this referral link and earn us both money when you make a deposit of 100 or more cumulative transactions over the course of a month)
Do I recommend this? Sure, I guess. If KYCs aren't an issue for you, and you don't mind the fees associated with Coinbase, it's fine. However, I am not a huge fan of any of the Exchanges that I used, due to lack of customer support and constant issues. That being said, Coinbase consistently nets like $3-9 a month in these Coinbase Earn rewards and it's nice.
Binance: I've earned some passive rewards from staking a small amount of ALGO, Tezos, VET, etc. but it's not really worth even talking about.
Earnings: ~$1 / Mo, 1-8% APY
Do I recommend this? Considering I waited almost 12 weeks to get verified... no not right now. We'll see how it goes in the future. I DO like their fees better than Coinbase, but because I'm on the Binance US, I have the shit tier exchange. Regular Binance is amazing. The minimum withdraws are kind of annoying as well.
Alcor.Exchange: As I said before, I started messing with Liquidity, and I currently use AlcorExchange for it, as the majority of my liquidity experiments are in gaming currencies and wax, which are a lot less 'real' than other currencies. Meaning, I earned a lot of this for 'free', as opposed to actually investing, which makes me a bit more likely to risk it. So far, I'm not a huge fan, as the earnings/fees don't really make sense and don't really show how much you're 'gaining' or 'losing'. In fact, I think at one point my earnings were negative and I had less of both currencies than I began with.
Earnings: About 5-15 Wax total? (Putting down about 25 worth of assets in Wax) I did not have proper spreadsheets for this so my numbers are not accurate unfortunately. I definitely made a bit, in terms of currency, but I did not record price and whether currency dropped, etc.
Do I recommend this? Wait on this. We'll see. I'm going to monitor this with a spreadsheet to get a better idea of the rates and value for next month. For general transactions via Wax though, I 100% recommend it, I'm just unsure of it as a vehicle for investing WAX / Currencies.
Ultimately, my Wallets, specifically as a free or low-cost user have been at least somewhat profitable. Wax is almost entirely profit, where I am at somewhere around 50 dollars worth of profit? Valora was a 10 dollar investment which net me 5 dollars over 3 months. Binance is earning me about 1 dollar a month in passive interest, not counting the fluctuations/growth of the coins. Coinbase has made me $6 dollars for simple quizzes. Alcor.Exchange has made me maybe a dollar? It's hard to tell because my variables for keeping track of it were not thorough enough, so next month we will see how it is going.
I know most people don't really read these specific types of articles, but hopefully when they start to pickup they'll be useful to somebody! I specifically leave out any investment or cash flow created by larger investments because my target audience is people looking to invest or grow in the NFT/Crypto Market either entirely for free, or for very low amounts of money (Sub-$25 investments). I know that people throwing around 10 grand is a lot more exciting to see, but I'm trying to be realistic and true to my target.
As always, thanks for reading! If you have any advice or suggestions on how to better format, or improve these specific articles, please don't hesitate to comment! I find these articles awkward and am not really sure how to format them, so I would welcome any criticisms! If you want to check out the article on Mobile Miners and Games, you can find it here. I will let you know that this was a bad month for mobile miners and games, but the Wallets and Exchanges seem to be doing well, even for free users at this time!
