The Metaverse is coming, and this is the car I wanna use to get there

By LeftFooted | Cars & tech | 13 Dec 2021

As it turns out, gamers were right. They’ve been right all along. A digital, virtual reality is coming, a metaverse where we can do things, buy things, see things. Whatever else we may think of it, it’s relevant, and it’s also a huge market, with potential.

Automakers know this and they’ve been paying attention. Alpine recently launched its first collection of NFTs - and no doubt other brands will follow soon - and now Porsche, in partnership with Polyphony Digital, has developed a new car specifically designed for Gran Turismo 7, which will be released on March 4, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and 5.a548d7f1bdbfaf450e1145a6e85c4177cf2ea986e65cf7479ce5cb94f767987c.jpg

The Porsche Vision Granturismo comes in with an “especially sporty height-to-width ratio”, a low-set bonnet and a massive wing. It kinda looks like the Taycan, because the inspiration comes from the Taycan.

Obviously, a lot of people will want Porsche to build this in the real world as well - and I am one of those people - in the meantime, all we gotta do is wait for the game and play.71a19f93116df5f11857f383ec51302c35c6d2c40a6d505a1c3a12e955cec613.jpg
