I'm building an app with AI

By LeftFooted | Cars & tech | 15 Mar 2026

I've decided to try this 'I'm building an app with AI' thing, a trend in 2026 it seems, but I think it's doable. And not that expensive.

It's an experiment, the web app is already live, but the 'real' app in App Store and Play Store will require some planning, some luck, and some money.

My first step is I'm adding a significant catalog in the app. It's an app that reviews in real-world terms bars and pubs in my city, like TripAdvisor, but very, very streamlined, very straightforward.

I know there are similar apps, but there are two reasons why I believe this might work.

One, the minor reason, is that this app will be simpler. No star or score reviews, no reservation tools. This is just an app where you can check out the name of a bar, one image (only one), pros and cons, and a brief description. Written by a person: me. That's it.

The main reason is that other equivalent apps aren't city specifics. This is. This is just for people who live here and travel here or visit here.

So the web app is already live, and now these are my next steps.

One, I'll keep adding stuff and keep fine-tuning the whole thing, when I think it looks good enough, then two, I'll buy a domain for it.

Then three, I'll pay for the Apple Developer Membership and then four, I'll submit the app for review and hopefully it'll be accepted.

If it isn't, I'll probably keep it web only, stop paying for the domain, and then start from scratch.

Wish me luck.
