Brave and BAT. How far can they go?

By GoblinCrypto | CaptCrimson | 28 Mar 2020

We as people use the internet everyday and that's not an exaggeration. We use the internet at work, at home, and ESPECIALLY on our phones. Once upon a time there lived a portion in time where there were many browsers. Now I get it, you probably just rolled your eyes and said "uh...there still are a lot of browsers." Allow me to explain.

Roughly 15 years ago a browser was a browser. You had Yahoo, MSN, AskJeeves, Google, Bing, Firefox, Opera. People generally based what browser to use on a few things: Which one was faster, which one had the cooler logo, and for you high school students, which one gave me more freedom to play flash games. This has changed in the era we live now. Sure many of this browsers still exist, but the king of browsers or Internet mind you would be Google. Ask anybody a question and their response is usually "Let me Google that." Now let me go back to the reasons. Times have changed and something called Privacy has become a BIG issue for people. Enter Brave.

Brave has built itself to become a force to reckon with. A browser striving to protect the user from tracking, unwanted ads, etc. WHILE at the same time rewarding the user with BAT tokens. The Brave Browser has even been ranked on the App and Google Play store above Chrome numerous times. It's faster than Chrome, it's safer than chrome, and overall it's better than Chrome. It blow my mind that people aren't walking around saying, "Let me Brave that."

I love the Brave browser. I also really love the BAT token. I've made great trades with it in the past, but I enjoy it the most because of what it means to the user. It's a token of appreciation for using a service built with the user in mind. I call that a win win. But what I'm interested in is where can Brave go further?

Recently Brave partnered up with one of the biggest exchanges in the industry; Binance. The deal is to create a widget on the Brave main page that allows the user to purchase Crypto and monitor the market. It's small, but also big at the same time. I believe Brave wants to really go after Google. I also think that the team behind Brave have many many ideas that they would like to see take flight. We all know that Google has phones now and I love the phone myself. I own a Pixel phone, but imagine that Brave came out with a Brave phone. A phone dedicated to safety and maybe a built in Crypto wallet? Another field I would love to see Brave reach one day would be a a version of Youtube. Completely ad-less and ability to tip content creators with Crypto. The only issue they would have to solve going that route would be to combat Google's massive cloud service. Until that day, I'll continue to use the Brave browser to watch all my Youtube videos cause let's be honest, those ads are ANNOYING!

I cannot wait to see the future of Brave and the BAT token. Even on my Pixel phone I use the Brave browser because at the end of the day it's the best. My hopes will continue to be that the team focuses on continuing keeping the user in mind and eventually building new projects that have the potential to possibly knock Google off it's pedestal. If you haven't already downloaded the Brave browser you can use my referral link below to get started. Using the link rewards myself with only a few BAT tokens while starting you on receiving many more.
