Season 3 Review
Hey Rollers! As Season 3 wrapped up, I was left wondering how everyone made out this season. I did fairly well but I wish I would have done better which I think might be a shared sentiment with many players. It seemed like there wasn't enough time to move higher through the levels but all in all, a fun season. The drops from playing games were a great bonus and I received quite a bit of baby miners.
The other new updates added by RollerCoin were both interesting and a bit of a learning curve. Upgrading miners is a great idea but it's important to consider if the cost of the parts is worth the upgrade of that miner. Another thing to look forward to is the continuation of upgrading the miners. Currently, 1-star is the highest you can upgrade a miner to and I have a few miners that need to be combined at this point in an effort to not only increase mining power and also to increase shelf space in my room.
Of all the updates, the most anticipated was the marketplace which as we all know was delayed. Hopefully, with the launch of season 4 or even before that, we will get to see the marketplace in action. With that said, I know one of only two players who are lucky enough to have received a SKAM miner. I'll be curious what that particular miner may sell for on the marketplace and if either player is willing to sell it considering it gives the owner a 10% mining bonus and there are only 2 in the whole game at the moment.
Progress
I wasn't sure how far I would get this season but the drops for playing games were nice and kept me going. Additionally, being able to combine miners/purchase parts was an interesting change. The downside is that 100 games per day is a big-time investment to commit to. Nevertheless, I attempted to complete all 100 games daily but admittedly, there were a handful of days I just did not make it. I was lucky enough to have some good wins from the Lucky500 and was able to purchase additional lootboxes to earn some valuable XP in the first few weeks of the game which helped immensely with leveling up.
-
Goals
My goal is always to get as far as possible and earn as many miners without investing any of my money into the game. If I reach my goal and I feel it's worth it, purchasing the season pass is the only thing that I may invest money for. A correction from my previous post, I misspoke when I stated that if a player makes it to level 20 that the premium pass should cost 99.99 RLT. If a player made it to level 20 the price for the premium pass dropped down to 199.99. I was willing to purchase the premium pass if it was 99.99 but since it was twice that, I decided not to purchase the premium pass. Instead, I went with the season pass and I'll get into that a bit later. Other than purchasing the season pass, at the end of the season, no other investments were made.
-
Task Difficulties
Some tasks which made it difficult for many this season are the ones that require an investment. Like most players, I didn't really care for the "spend RLT" to level up tasks. This season at least they attempted to give players two options - purchase a lootbox or spend 5 RLT on anything you'd like and each rewarded the player with a similar XP. I was able to purchase a few Lucky 500's and was indeed lucky at the beginning of the season. As the season progressed, I wasn't really able to earn more than 8 RLT back from a Lucky 500 purchase. Coincidence? I think not. However, from the RLT I did make with the initial purchases, I was able to keep going and opening boxes daily for the first few weeks. If I got low on RLT, I would work on completing some tasks to make up the difference.
-
Inviting Friends
Another thing that was helpful is that some random people used my referral and while I don't necessarily enjoy the "invite a friend" task, at least that one is free. Here's a pointer, once you have exhausted your friend's list, the easiest way to invite people is to post in random places or on social media.
My favorite way to invite people to join is to use either the COIN App or to advertise on Cointiply. I would highly encourage anyone trying to complete the invite friends tasks to try those two options. What I do with the COIN App is put my referral link into a geodrop using the COIN App so that others who are out mining those geomines can see it and go straight to the signup page. If you'd like to learn more about the COIN App I encourage you to check out my previous post "Earn Crypto From Your Phone".
I also use Cointiply and purchase ads which they distribute for the players. By "purchase" I mean I play Cointiply which is a BTC faucet and view the ads in order to earn points which then intern pay for the ads that I post. It's a free way to advertise. As for social media, I made a separate Twitter account for crypto (@LizB_Mining) and I'm on Torum (Receive 7.5 XTM if you use my referral code lizb_mining).
How Far Did I Get?
-
Completed Quests
I tried to complete all quests every week, however, having a full-time job, kids, and a spouse, it is nearly impossible unless I would have been willing to sacrifice much more time from those other areas. My initial thought was that I should be able to make it to level 20 and I am happy that I was able to make it to level 22. Although that means I did miss out on 5 additional miners, I did better than I thought I would. Here is what my completed quests looked like.

-
Parts
I was looking forward to winning some parts this season. Here are the parts that they were selling. You can also see the listed RLT price on here for the parts.

Here are the items I received from playing games. I did purchase 1000 common fans to meet one of the 5RLT requirements and earn the XP I needed. The only other thing that I purchased was the legendary Hashboards. All of these purchases were made with the in-game RLT I earned - there was no personal investment that went into these purchases. The total amount of parts at the end of the season is 29.885 RLT which also doesn't take into consideration the parts I used to combine miners. I'll call that a win.

Miners Won in Game and From LootBoxes
I wanted to add a picture of my room at the conclusion of Season 2 and one from the conclusion of Season 3. All in all, I did far better this season than the previous. I decide to purchase the season pass for 99.99 RLT on the final day. I will get into some numbers later about that decision but first, let's see about those free miners and lootbox winnings!
Season 2 Conclusion: Season 3 Conclusion:

-
Free Miners
This season I was able to receive 11 free miners from in-game drops. Those 11 miners, raised my mining power to 1,650 GH/s. Since I had the parts on hand I decided to combine 10 of those miners and create 1-star miners instead which changed the mining power to 2,250 GH/s and with the final free miner the total added power is 2,400gh/s.
As mentioned earlier, I purchased Christmas Lootboxes from earnings that I was able to make both from mining and from receiving RLT from the Lucky 500 (until it was only paying out 3-8 RLT towards the end of the season). With that, I spent, 130 RLT for miners. I wish I had been luckier but in any case, the miners from the lootboxes always have a higher mining power and a lower cost than what players can purchase from the store.
-
Total Mining Power
The play for free miners increased my mining rate by 37,000 GH/s while the season miners increased it by 435,000GH/s. Additionally, 291,000GH/s of power was received from the Christmas Lootbox. In total with the play for free earnings, the lootbox, and the free in-game miner drops, my mining power is increased to 765,400 in this season alone.
-
Bonus Power
The bonus power earned after purchasing the season pass will wane as the days pass so I wanted to share the breakdown. This is what my bonus power looks like for the next 60 days as it slowly decays.
3 days - 1,700,000
7 days-1,600,000
12 days -1,500,000
20 days -1,350,000
30 days -1,200,000
40 days -950,000
50 days -700,000
60 days -400,000
-
Was The Season Pass Worth It?
By purchasing the Season Pass for 99.99 RLT at the end of the season, yes it may seem like I invested 99.99 but that also means that I received 25 RLT - 20 of which was locked up until you purchased the pass. This means that the season cost was 74.99 but seeing how you can't take RLT out - that 25 RLT will probably go towards the next season. I'm looking at it as a bonus or a buffer. In anycase, with the added mining power and the bonus power I will have for the next 60 days especially that additional power for the next 30, I think it is worth it. I'm going to hunker down on one coin and just keep at it!
