Is Season 1 Purchase Worth It?

Initially, in my post, I stated that "An additional perk once purchasing the miner is that you can purchase the whole season for an added $29.99 once you've purchased the season pass" - This is not accurate. What actually happens is that each level costs $9.99 so as you complete the quests the purchase price drops. If you look at the images below, I have completed all quests and am on the final level. To purchase that is 9.99 RLT. When I initially thought it was $29.99, I was working through level 18. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
Hello fellow Rollers! So, I finally decided to purchase the season pass ($149.99) after playing this season pretty much to the end. There are just 8 days remaining but I can tell you after playing this and doing tons of research, this purchase made sense and I'll get into why. Below is what my current mining room looks like.
Comparing Miner Cost vs Season Pass
When comparing the season pass to what the miners actually cost this wasn't a difficult choice for me to make. Of course, no one wants to part with $149.99 but, in the end, will it be worth it? I decided to do the math. There are 5 miners that you can purchase through RollerCoin Store which are also rewarded when playing through the Season 1 pass. Those 5 miners cost $266 if you were to purchase them from the store. That value does not include the exclusive Season One miners that you can win. An additional perk once purchasing the miner is that you can purchase the whole season for an added $29.99 once you've purchased the season pass - perfect for those who don't want to "waste" time playing games. Honestly, if I don't make it to the final season miner, I will be dropping the $29.00 because that last miner is more than worth it. (This information has been updated)
An additional perk for having these miners earlier in the season is that they add bonus power to your mining ability. So whether you are purchasing the miners or you are winning them, your bonus power increases which translates to more mining power and more income.
Future Marketplace Perk
Something else to consider when looking at this is that they will be opening up a market to be able to sell exclusive miners to other Rollers. There are some high-earning coveted miners that may sell for a good amount to others on the platform. In a blog from Aug. 12, 2021, RollerCoin shared that the Marketplace will be released at the start of Season 3, which I am super excited about. This will have great potential to help players earn even more income. If you are interested in reading their blog, here it is:
What to expect from Marketplace?
Marketplace will allow players to buy and sell some in-game items like miners and consumables, which will appear on the next update.
Not telling too much to keep it unspoiled, but the player will be able to set a selling price not only in RLT but BTC\ETH as well!
Why is Marketplace not released yet?
To make a diverse functionality of the Marketplace, we have to prepare a whole ecosystem in the game! We have added collectable miners with specific conditions already! Later on, we will implement drops\consumables in the next update.
When will Marketplace be released?
We plan to release Marketplace right at the start of Season 3, when the RollerCoin economics will be ultimately prepared for the Marketplace update. Players will be able to buy and sell items, which will activate a new Play2Earn mechanics on RollerCoin. This mechanic will be implemented by active gamers farming drops from games and selling it on the market!
How to be ready for the Marketplace release?
1. Save RLT and other coins. Players will instantly start selling old miners for cheap!
2. Buy limited and collectable miners! Limited miners and Rare event miners will gather interest among collectors and new players, which was not able to purchase those earlier.
3. Start to actively farm drops from games in the next update!
Learnings
As this season comes to a close. I've decided that the next season I will be purchasing immediately. I've lost potential income while debating on this purchase and I don't intend to make that mistake a second time. If you plan to be in this for the long term, this can be a fairly lucrative venture. It is a bit of money down at first in order to make some substantial money later on. I'll share updates as they come out from the Roller team and will plan to have a personal update in a few month's time to let you all know how I'm doing with that income.
