Billionier Elon Musk wants to sell Tesla cars in India, but this has been disputed.

Musk tweeted and informed that he is in talks with the Indian government regarding Tesla Meanwhile, ministers and important political figures of some states of India send invitation to Musk for setting up a Tesla plant in their respective state, they even assured any other cooperation; that invitation was not official, but just quot reply to Musk's tweet.

Controversy has arisen over that issue, because Musk does not want to set up a car manufacturing unit, but rather want to sell it, and states whose diplomatic figures have called Musk with assurances of cooperation have been against setting up industries in their states, for example West Bengal's ruling party drove out Tata's Nano car.
