Coinmarketcap announced in a blog post today (12th August 2020) the introduction of Coinmarketcap Earn which should link crypto education with earning crypto assets. The process of earning assets is divided into two steps: information through videos and then a quiz about those videos.

How to use it

To participate, you need a coinmarketcap account which can be created here. After having created the account have a look at the currently available campaigns (currently there is an available BAND campaign). You will then find educational videos about the project on the next page which you should look at to answer the quiz. On the next step, there is the quiz with questions according to the videos you just watched (Note: you have one try for the quiz). After completing the quiz you have to wait until the campaign is over and if you have answered all questions correctly you will receive a share of the respective project token (max. 10$ worth).

In my eyes, this is Coinmarketcap's answer to the newly introduced Coingecko reward and I think It may be a nice method of earning some cryptos and learning something about blockchain, smart contracts etc. I tried it out with BAND and the process as it was very clear and easy to understand. Although I don't know if I was successful as I will receive that information (and hopefully some tokens as well) after the campaign. The Band campaign will last for 7 more days so I have no choice but to wait.
