Who created Blockchain technology?

By CryptoShanty | Sipping on Satoshi | 30 Jul 2019

On almost every website that explains what Blockchain is, we can usually read that it's impossible to talk about Blockchain without first talking about Bitcoin and that Blockchain technology was created by the cryptic Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto. In fact, Satoshi was the founder of one of the most (if not the most until now) revolutionary invention of the internet, a digital currency named Bitcoin. But was he the creator of Blockchain?

Wikipedia

Blockchain was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 to serve as the public transaction ledger of the cryptocurrency bitcoin.

Forbes

You can’t discuss the history of blockchain technology without first starting with a discussion about Bitcoin.

Blockgeeks

The blockchain is an undeniably ingenious invention – the brainchild of a person or group of people known by the pseudonym, Satoshi Nakamoto.

Excuse me, but that's not correct.

I don't find fair to give credits to someone that did not invent something. The concept and creation of Blockchain appeared in 1991 by the minds of W. Scott Stornetta and his co-author Stuart Haber.

Fortunately, we have few but good websites that call things by their name, like:

First Digital Capital:

Contrary to popular belief, shadowy inventor of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, did not invent blockchain. So who did?
In 1991, Dr. W. Scott Stornetta and his co-author Dr. Stuart Harber published a whitepaper introducing ‘blockchain’, a decentralized, cryptic database where digital transactions are secured.
The cryptographers’ research focused on creating a digital hierarchy system which time-stamped and chronologically secured transactions in a chain of blocks. Together, they co-authored several publications in the cryptography field to pioneer a system that was transparent and verifiable.

What I find strange is that all the correct info that I could find about the creation of Blockchain Technology was written in 2018, but we can see in Bitcoin Whitepaper references to these cool guys not once but three times:

Is it important to know who is behind the creation of Blockchain Technology?

Truth is important in a world full of lies. Every day we hear and read the news, and if we pay attention to 80% of the info that comes out through media channels, we can see pure sensationalism that aims to brainwash and control peoples opinion. This is not a conspiracy theory, this is mass marketing.
