Starting October 1, 2026, Crypto.com will introduce a series of nerfs to the rewards program for its popular debit cards.
Subscription and staking costs will remain the same, but cashback percentages, monthly limits, and some additional benefits will be reduced.

Cashback: Increases from 2.0% to 1.5% in CRO
Monthly maximum reimbursable spending cap: Increases from €1,250/month to €750/month (from €25 to €11.50/month reimbursed)

Requirements: €4,500 in CRO or €25/month
Cashback: From 3% to 2.5%
Cap: From €2,500/month to €1,500/month (from €75 to €37.50/month reimbursed)

Changes to fees and Penalties
- Inactivity penalty increases from €5/month to €6/month
- Foreign transaction fees:
Spends in non-EUR currencies within the EU/UK: 0.2% exchange fee
Fees outside the EU/UK: Ruby Steel is exempt up to €400/month spent, after 2%, Jade Green is exempt up to €800 after 2%, and Icy White has no fees.
Conclusions
This represents four instances in which Crypto.com has cut and rescheduled benefits, in addition to various progressive reductions in ancillary services such as reimbursement on Spotify, Netflix, etc. subscriptions.
Often, if not always, these cuts occurred after and during bear market phases.
