Aphelium is holding a pretty awesome tournament in order to attract new players. The total prize pool is $5000 USD. The prize pool is unique in that it will reward certain positions all the way to 200th place. The competition started July 06, 2023 so it is well under way. However, in this next 6 weeks a lot of things can change, because the competition doesn't end until October 06, 2023. 

What is Aphelium? It's an NFT game that is based on Discord. It uses the WAX blockchain. You don't have to pay a penny or any wax in order to start playing Aphelium. You can learn more about the basics of Aphelium or join the Discord and jump right in!

The competition is pretty simple. It is a race to earn the most AP (Aphelium points), which is the in-game currency that is typically earned by performing work via the /work command as well as by selling resources you collect during work and exploration via the /explore command once you've unlocked the exploration skill. 

It may be a little tough to catch the top 10 places right now on the leaderboard, but as I mentioned earlier, you can be rewarded for placing somewhere within the top 200. Below you'll find a list of places and rewards.

• 1st place: $1500
• 2nd place: $1000
• 3rd place: $750
• 4th - 10th: $170 each

Every 10th place, from 20th place to 100th place, will be awarded $50. 

Every 10th place, from 110th place to 200th place, will be awarded $10.
