The Venezuelan government war on blocking services that are used by the citizens continues, and this time they blocked access to Binance. Customers that use the platform to exchange crypto into dollars and vice-versa can't anymore access the largest crypto exchange in the world and this is worrying. Why? Because Binance have been a savior to many Venezuelans that use the exchange to get money from, as their native currency is inflated and doesn't have value in the market.
For years, the Venezuelans have used Binance to curb their necessities and merchants, stores, business all across the country started to accept crypto as their payment method to fulfill their needs and until now it was very practical. Users got paid on their Binance wallet, then exchanged the crypto into dollars and withdraw in their bank in Venezuela turning the business viable.
With the block from the government many Venezuelans will be forced to find another means to live and be paid and this will turn the nation in a more difficult place to be.
Just to remember, this is not the first block the Nicolas Maduro government do, as weeks back their restricted access to X, Signal, Reddit and some other services allegedly to avoid interference on their affairs by foreign entities. So, what will be their next service block? Remember:
