According to Respawn Entertainment, the mobile version of Apex Legends is shutting down in a few months, less than a year after its launch.

Much to the chagrin of mobile gamers, Apex Legends will no longer be available on mobile phones starting May 1, 2023. To make matters worse, Respawn emphasized that players will not be refunded for purchasing subscriptions and in-game items.

Apex Legends Mobile was released on May 17, 2022. Over time, it brought the exclusive characters Rhapsody and Fade, but still kept the classic maps, game modes and weapons from the PC version. However, Respawn has not revealed whether Rhapsody and Fade will be included in the original game in the future.

We have made the decision to sunset Apex Legends Mobile.

The Respawn team's goal has always been to provide fans with the best possible gaming experience. After a great start, we unfortunately failed to live up to our own expectations. For this reason, after months of working with our development partner, we have made a mutual decision to stop working on Apex Legends Mobile. While this outcome is extremely disappointing, we are proud of the game we made. We are grateful to our fans and we are confident that this is the right decision. Our love for the Apex universe and our players remains - we look forward to continuing to explore this universe, its characters and stories together with you. In the meantime, we appreciate your support and patience.
