It seems like it was yesterday when playgrounds were filled with happy kids playing and getting dirty. Technology has taken away the real games, the one that requires you to move, to talk, to transpire, to catch sun rays, to see the clouds. Nowadays kids looks like walking zombies with phone in hands. If a toddler cries her parents gave them the phones and put some movies. Smartphones are the new pacifiers!
I'm not an expert but aren't kids supposed to do physical activities? Playing helps kids to develop motor skills and teaches them how to interact with people. Jumping, running, climbing trees, swinging... all that strengthens the body, help them grow and make 'em healthier. Then why are we taking that away from them? Why people prefer to see their kids like a zombie instead of a healthy kid running and playing?
Technology can be a blessing but it also can become a headache if we don't use it wisely!
