Have you always wished to make your own popcorn but you stoped trying because the kernels burned ? Well, that's how we felt. But after a while and countless store-bought popcorn boxes we decided to give it a second chance. And guess what, it was a success. For all of you who experienced the same flop here it is the perfect recipe for crunchy popcorn.

Ingredients:
- cooking oil or coconut oil
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
- salt or sugar to taste
In a pot (use a good, heavy-bottomed pot) over medium heat, combine the oil and 2-3 popcorn kernels. Cover the pot and wait for the kernels to pop, which can take a few minutes. That way it'll be easier to assess the correct temperature. When the kernels pop, add the rest of the kernels in an even layer. Cover the pot and remove from heat for about 30 seconds. Then take the pot back to the heat. As they begin to pop, gently shake the pot until the popping slows down. If you use a thin camping pot you have to be more careful and shake more. Remove from heat and dump the popcorn in a bowl. Sprinkle with salt or sugar to taste.
