We wrote an article on Facebook last week titled: Facebook's Libra is alive and kicking: Libra & Tagomi

In that article, this is the paragraph we wrote: "We could actually see a Digital Dollar that will then be pegged to Facebook's Libra coin in the future.  When that happens, Facebook will receive all the clearance it needs to enter the digital finance space."

On March 3rd (few days after we published our article), Bloomberg reports that "Facebook Inc. and its partners are considering redesigning the Libra cryptocurrency project so that the network accepts multiple coins, including those issued by central banks, in an effort to woo reluctant global regulators and rebuild momentum for the plan."

As we commented in the original article, US Government (or to that matter any government) doesn't care about Citizen's privacy or people losing their life savings to the greed of wall street, what government(s) do care about is keeping their reign and one big way they accomplish is by keeping control on money supply. 

Now that Facebook changes its strategy and China is being beaten down by Coronavirus (or the media circus around it) - I think Facebook will soon get the clearance it needs to peg US Digital dollar to provide access to US Digital Dollar through Facebook's Libra to over 2.5 billion (Facebook and Whatsapp) users across the world, making US dollar yet again most used currency in the world even in the crypto space.

This strategy should play out to keep US dollar's dominance as 'world reserve currency' and Facebook's libra should also become a household name riding on the support of US Government's blessing!

Time will tell if we are right on this call.
