How to Start Mining on Coinpot

By Bitcoinsense | Bitcoinsense | 17 Mar 2019

My first post talked about how to get cryptocurrency by using the Coinpot.co wallet and different coin faucets.   If you missed that, I suggest reading that first.   Another way to get coins is by using Coinpot is to do mining.

Mining uses special software and your computer's processing to solve math problems that help keep Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies safe and secure by approving transactions.

Mining on Coinpot is a very easy and effective way to get a consistent rate of currency and to get started in mining your own coins. Mining on Coinpot will work on some platfoms, but on others the mine will not start up. For example, I have seen this work on PC's, laptops, iPads, and even different phones.   I have not seen it work on Chromebooks.  To test your device, try this link

For me, I had to switch around some settings to exclude coinpot.co from anti-virus because it is blocked as mining software.  If you can mine on your device, you should see more than 0 H/s and be able to click the "Start Mining" button where the yellow button is in the picture below.

To see what the most effective currency to mine is I did an experiment by mining each coin for 30 minutes at medium CPU usage on 6 threads. This gave me about 23-29 hashes/second. Based on this experiment and exchange rates on 2/25/18, I found that Litecoin was the best to mine at medium CPU usage and on 6 threads:

  • Bitcoin: 2 satoshi
  • Bitcoin Cash: 2.8 satoshi
  • Litecoin: 5 satoshi
  • Dogecoin: 3.3 satoshi
  • Dash: 3.8 satoshi

These first two posts give you a great start to getting cryptocurrency. Using faucets and mining, you can make a few dollars per week!  In my next post, I will be showing you how to export it and convert to fiat currency.
