The withdrawal test

By LeftFooted | bitcoinea | 17 Oct 2023

I've come up with a new test. I call it the withdrawal test.

I know I'm dreaming of fluffy bunnies and pink rainbows, and I know it's utopian, but whenever I withdraw funds from a CEX, I expect zero issues, zero delays.

I do accept a fee might apply, IF it's part of the TOS. I don't have a problem with that, as long as it's reasonably low and fair, and as long as I'm made aware of it clearly as part of the TOS. But no delays. Transactions shouldn't be blocked. They shouldn't be delayed.

The other day I tried withdrawing funds from Binance and it took nearly two hours. Today I tried doing the same thing with Crypto.com and it's been around 70 minutes.

I guess it's not a coincidence that these are two CEXs I rarely use.

So far, I've found KuCoin, Binance and Nexo to be quite reliable.

Binance, Wirex and Crypto.com aren't.

Food for thought.
