A discussion on what the most popular video game in the world might be might break a UN peace resolution meeting. It might collapse governments. It might break up political parties.
But it's fair to say that you can't even have that discussion without at least including Pac-Man.
Pac-Man, along with other OG video games, might be soon available on-chain.
The thing is, Atari, the developer behind Pac Man and other video games, is apparently bringing several of these games in the Web3 using Coinbase's Base network.
The first one is Asteroids, an arcade game launched in 1979 that allows players to controls a spaceship and destroy asteroids while avoiding them.
Players can now mint an NFT that's basically a ticket to play on the blockchain, and compete to win a prize of $1,000.
Atari is apparently already working to bring Pac Man on the Base network.
So stay tuned, as they say.
