RIP Kabosu, what a strange world we're living in

This is hardly breaking news at this point, Kabosu, the Shiba Inu dog that sparked the dog-themed meme coin bonanza with Dogecoin, died aged 18.

18 years for a dog is a lot. They say every dog year is like seven human years, which never sounded right to me. Because humans tend to die between the age of 75 and 85, on average, so that's about 10 in dog years, but most dogs live well over 10 years.

I think perhaps a more accurate proportion would be one to five, rather one to seven.

But I digress.

The point is, a cute Shiba Inu who had no idea about it became a global sensation and kick-started a multi-billion dollar market.

What a weird world we're living in.

I wonder if there's a Heaven for dogs. I hope so.
