Good news if you're flying Emirates

By LeftFooted | bitcoinea | 11 Jul 2025

I apologise for the boring, dull corporate like picture I used for this but I thought why not.

Emirates, as in the Emirati airline, has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with crypto.com to integrate Crypto.com Pay into the airline's payment infrastructure.

If all goes to plan, you'll be able to pay with Crypto.com Pay on Emirates flight from next year.

Why this is good news

We can gloss over the the aforementioned picture, and we can gloss over the expression Memorandum of Understanding, a weird business jargon expression that I've always found slightly amusing.

It sounds like you're saying, let's remember we have an understanding.

But anyway, we can gloss over that, and we can also gloss over the fact that you can already use crypto cards, like any other cards, on Emirates flights.

This is still good news, if you think mainstream adoption is important and/or unavoidable.
