Update on current issue with Brave rewards

By bitcoindelight | bitcoindelight | 30 Jan 2020

As you might be aware I blogged about a possible glitch in Brave respectively Brave rewards (see here: https://www.publish0x.com/bitcoindelight/glitch-brave-rewards-or-brave-xmopxx). I didn't have an idea what to do, but luckily to a few comments on my post I figured out how to reach the support. Whenever there is something wrong with Brave and you want to contact support for help this URL is the best choice you can make: https://community.brave.com/

There is a subforum for a lot of common sections when it comes to developing a browser. So I contacted the support and had a brief chat with an official team member. He asked me to provide screenshots from my Ads view panel.

Once you start browsing through the forum you will notice a lot of other users reporting the same issue:

Even people here on publish0x replied to my initial blog post and confirmed that this has happened to them as well.

This morning I provided to the Brave team all the information they asked for, so currently, I am waiting for a response.

Today, at 10.30a my time my estimated earnings for this month decreased again after I clicked on a notification for an app.

This means I lost BAT rewarded for using Brave two days in a row. I fear once again, this has affected a lot of other users.

I encourage you to reach out to the support, that the devs become aware that it is not a local issue from a few people. It seems to be a problem on their end affecting users across all different platforms no matter if they use it on Windows, Android, iOS, etc.

...to be continued

*Update: It seems that the 'Ad notifications received this month' counter is not going to be decreased so hopefully, this will prove how many ads you have received and viewed. Therefore it might make sense to keep track of your 7-day Ads history.

I started mining and trading in 2017, participated in airdrops, hardforks, and ICOs. I spent much time making myself familiar with technical analysis. I like to make people aware of things I am currently doing in the crypto space, projects I am currently spending time on.
