BITCOIN CASH PREVAILS AS SEC PERMITS TRADING IN ETORO SETTLEMENT

The Gary Gensler-led U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reached a settlement with cryptocurrency platform eToro, ordering the company to halt trading for all cryptocurrencies except Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH). The SEC found that eToro’s U.S. operations violated federal securities laws by allowing trading of cryptocurrencies as securities.
