GOVERNMENT GONE WILD ON GENERAL PROTOCOLS SPACES
The General Protocols team once again held a Spaces discussion, episode 40, to dive into the current state of government affairs and their impact on cryptocurrency. CASHONIZE GIVES A HISTORY LESSON
Cashonize wallet has just released its latest update, version 0.3.0, which includes a highly requested feature: a “History” tab with transaction details. This new feature allows users to easily view their transaction history and access detailed information about each transaction. The update also includes a link to the “CreateTokens” page. The Cashonize wallet is a user-friendly, multi-platform Bitcoin Cash wallet that supports CashTokens and WalletConnect, making it an great choice for using CashToken dapps on BCH. The latest release is available for download on the Cashonize GitHub page at https://github.com/cashonize/cashonize-wallet, with versions available for desktop (Windows and Linux) and Android.
BERNANACATL JOINS THE BITCOIN CASH PODCAST FOR EPISODE 140
In episode #140 of The Bitcoin Cash Podcast, Bernanacatl, a Bitcoin Cash enthusiast, joined the show for a conversation about BCH’s mission, progress, and path to global adoption. Bernanacatl shared his personal story of how he discovered Bitcoin Cash while trying to find a reliable payment solution for his online business, and discusses his efforts to promote adoption through education and outreach. BCMR TOKEN EXPLORER GETS A BOOST
The BCMR Token Explorer, a valuable resource for tracking CashTokens on the Bitcoin Cash network, has been updated. Developer Mathieu Geukens has revamped the explorer to display information in a more logical and user-friendly way, taking into account decimal values throughout the platform. The update also introduces new statistics on the number of unique holding addresses, providing a more comprehensive view of CashToken distribution. The BCMR Token Explorer is an important tool for viewing token metadata and on-chain information, including genesis supply, circulating supply, and metadata updates. The project’s code is open-source and available on GitHub.
BCHD REVISES FLIPSTARTER FOR 2025 UPGRADE
The BCHD project, a full node implementation of the Bitcoin Cash protocol, is seeking funding for its 2025 upgrade to ensure compatibility with the network and maintain consensus. The upgrade will focus on implementing two proposed CHIPS (Cash Improvement Proposals): CHIP-2021–05 VM Limits and CHIP-2024–07 BigInt, aiming to enable more advanced Bitcoin Cash contracts, reduce transaction sizes, and enhance the node’s overall performance. PAYTACA NEWS: BLOCKCHAIN BUZZ HITS CEBU AND NEW PODCAST EPISODE
Paytaca recently brought the future of commerce to life at the Cebu Blockchain Conference, which took place on January 17–18. The company’s CEO, Dr. Joemar Taganna, delivered a keynote on “Revolutionizing Commerce with Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash” and showcased Paytaca’s innovative solutions, including a BCH vending machine, at their exhibit booth. Conference attendees got hands-on experience with the vending machine, experiencing the speed and efficiency of Bitcoin Cash transactions firsthand.
