MATHIEU GEUKENS UNVEILS OPRETURN SCANNER, BCH HODL DAPP, AND CASHONIZE UPDATES

Mathieu Geukens has been busy, announcing a trio of new developments. First, in collaboration with bitcoincashautist, he’s launched an “Opreturn Scanner,” a utility to find on-chain occurrences of specific opreturn markers. For example, a search for ‘BCMR’ reveals 3417 transaction IDs. Check it out at https://opreturn-scanner.netlify.app/. Next, Geukens introduced the BCH Hodl Dapp, a demonstration of how on-chain contract details can eliminate the need for an application server, running entirely client-side. The code is open source, and the app is currently deployed to chipnet for testing at https://bch-hodl-dapp.netlify.app. Finally, Cashonize wallet receives version 0.3.2, which now prompts users to back up their seed phrase with a notification and dynamically updates the transaction history for new sent and received transactions. The new release is available on GitHub.
FEELING LUCKY? BITCOIN CASH GETS A LOTTO

Lotto lovers now have a new way to potentially boost their holdings with the launch of BitcoinCash Global Lotto, a weekly decentralized lottery that offers anyone the chance to win by purchasing tickets in BCH. Users will need a Bitcoin Cash wallet, such as Selene, Paytaca, Electron Cash, or Zapit, to send their ticket purchase. One winning ticket is randomly selected by an algorithm, and the jackpot (minus fees) is automatically sent to the winner’s wallet. The creators of BitcoinCash Global Lotto aim to showcase Bitcoin Cash’s capabilities and provide an opportunity for people to win money, but as with all new crypto projects, players are advised to only spend what they can afford to lose.
BITCOINCASHCLIENT GETS PAID: GAMING DEV UPDATES LIBRARY WITH API KEYS

The “BitcoinCashClient,” a library for integrating Bitcoin Cash transactions into C# .NET applications, has been updated to version 3.0. The API now requires payment to use, payable, naturally, in BCH. According to the developer, this library makes it trivially easy to integrate native (non-custodial) Bitcoin Cash transactions into any C# .NET application with internet access. The library handles everything from wallet creation to transaction signing, abstracting away the complexities of on-chain transactions. Already, AFoG is the first customer to use the API.
STABLEHEDGE AIMS TO TAME BCH VOLATILITY WITH DEFI PLATFORM

A new dapp called Stablehedge is launching on Paytaca to address market volatility. Developed by the Paytaca team, Stablehedge allows users to peg the value of their BCH to an external asset, like USD, through tokenization and Anyhedge’s leveraged shorts. Users deposit BCH and receive Stablehedge tokens, which can be redeemed for BCH based on the current price of the pegged asset. A portion of the BCH deposits is used for 2x leveraged short positions with Anyhedge to maintain the peg. According to their whitepaper, this approach aims to provide a stable, liquid asset for BCH holders without lock-in periods or high premium fees. Further information about the platform’s architecture can be found in their whitepaper: https://github.com/paytaca/stablehedge-paper/
