SPlinterlands is expanding and there will be a new dimension to it. This expansion led to the rat race to claim land, which ended up being so successful, the available plots of land were literally sold out in a matter of minutes during the first run.
Things seem to be speeding up quite nicely, and so I decided to take a punt. I got into the action and bought myself one plot of land because well, it felt right.
The expansion will see a new game run within the game. Users will be able to farm items and potions that may be used in battles and other things.
The addition of land also created a new category called non-card digital assets, which basically depicts things like DEC, potions and even those raffle tickets that I don't know their purpose.
it is yet to be known how it will look, so there's some mild cautious optimism in the atmosphere. For the most part, people are just interested in throwing their weight behind the project due to the Splinterlands team's reputation.
For me though, I decided to get the plot of land because I don't want to be left behind. I already find myself stuck in Diamond 3 level, fighting my way back to the top organically by saving cards, including cards that I would have liked to sell.
The whole idea of having a game within a game isn't entirely new. However, the potential of having it in the Splinterlands setup is yet to be known. Since the Splinterlands is already in our good books, it won't take that much convincing to make us appreciate the expansion. All they have to do is communicate with the public, a lot of marketing and just keep on being the cheerful team that you are because you literally can't go wrong.
