Terracore energized the gaming space on the Hive blockchain and it even created a wave and inspiration for others to follow and launch an idle play2earn adventure to become the king of the hill in a post apocalypse environment. I have joined the game since incipient phases, had a strategy in mind and executed it step by step while also climbing the ladder and growing my account. But one thing that surprised me pleasantly was the power of the implemented referral system which drops some sweet Hive rewards from time to time by simply spreading the word.

Besides the positive network effect of the referral system, there are other benefits for having it in place. The player engagement is increasing and it brings motivation to post about the game and spread the word organically about it. This translates as well into a smart cost-effective marketing as the players are incentivized to get new users in the game. As a result the revenue for the game increases, which helps it develop with new mechanics and keep this adventure alive. And to tell you the truth, I have never expected of such nice earnings from a referral system and coupled with the gains from within the game, Terracore has become for me a steady revenue stream.
I am thrilled to see what's next in Terracore and I am looking at Oceanea where I've already started staking 100/1000 in order to hold a piece of land in a new world. The adventure continues and I think we are yet in the early stages of what this game can take us to.
