Splinterlands is more than a game and we all know it by now. Not only that it resides on blockchain, but it expanded in so many directions that one can earn entirely from this realm and doesn't need (or have time :)) for anything else. Just imagine that fighting in the arena will get your DEC cryptocurrency right away, your monsters generate SPS tokens used for governance and your art or blogging about the game will get you SPT tokens which will be used later on also for artistic NFTs. What more do you want? I surely can barely keep up with everything that is happening in this amazing metaverse.

The innovative crypto game is living some tremendous growth and the entire team is working on scaling it up to face the continuous demand. The use cases are pouring down on players like a heavy rain and there is so much activity around that simply puts everything at challenge. With all this hype around it is quite easy for anyone to think that only the sky is the limit and while we might live consistent growth, I still think that it is also a good time to take some profits from it. I lost too many opportunities in the past of doing so and I've decided that this time I will enjoy some financial spoils as well, beside the immense fun and thrill that this game provides.

The DEC price is at an outstanding level surpassing today $0.0085 compared to the $0.001 pegged value which the game creators would envision for it and put the mechanisms to regulate that. But the market is crazy and is fighting against the stablecoin mechanisms put in place to hold it steady. So it offered me a good opportunity to take some profits. At the moment I used the Diesel Pools to exchange DEC for HIVE. On the other hand also HIVE is at a good price of $0.48 and pretty steady I would say and my next step was to move that to Binance and lock some profits at that price by exchanging into USDT. I got around $1,500 USDT at this point and I think this is a good first profit taken out of the game as until now (from the game inception) I would just be in accumulation mode.

While it might seem that I made a step back into the game considering that by selling DEC I would get less SPS tokens, I feel quite good taking some profits out of it and I am sure I will be growing my stash of cards which in time should compensate for that. But seeing DEC at such a good price, it is just hard to resist not to do it. Now if it was a good decision or not, time will tell, but I am feeling quite good about it and probably will do the same if things will be staying like this in the next days or weeks.
